DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has unveiled the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, saying the full-size pickup will be the “most powerful Silverado ever” when it reaches showrooms later this year with new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines.

In a June 16 announcement, the automaker said the truck will offer four powertrain choices: the two new V8s, the enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel. Chevrolet also said the 2027 Silverado 1500 now offers the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class.

The new Silverado will come with a standard digital cockpit that includes a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center. ZR2 and High Country trims add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a heads-up display and rear camera mirror.

Chevrolet said the truck will be sold in seven models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT. The company said pricing will be announced later this year, but it did not release horsepower or torque figures in the announcement.
